The goal for the illustration on the opening page is to capture the essence of young Zenobia’s spirit and the rich cultural backdrop of her upbringing. This visual should reflect her curiosity, intelligence, and the early signs of her formidable leadership qualities, setting the stage for her ascent as a queen and military commander. This is the first of 16 original illustrations that will chronicle Zenobia’s remarkable journey against the landscapes of her battles with the Persian and Roman empires.
