Chapter 1 of the Zenobia Latin story-based textbook introduces readers to the early years of Zenobia in ancient Syria. This opening chapter paints a vivid portrait of her childhood and adolescence, showcasing her initial encounters with the complex social and political dynamics of her time. The goal for the illustration on the opening page is to capture the essence of young Zenobia’s spirit and the rich cultural backdrop of her upbringing. This visual should reflect her curiosity, intelligence, and the early signs of her formidable leadership qualities, setting the stage for her ascent as a queen and military commander.
